A 20 year old man has died after the car he was a passenger in hit a ditch at Glebe, Ardcarne – close to the junction with the N4 and the R285 Keadue Road. The incident took place shortly after midnight. The man was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Sligo University

The only swimmer representing Carrick Fins at the recent Irish Age Group Division 1 Championships in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin, was Wiktoria Weinert.
