Ladies Round-up

Our Adult Ladies Team bowed out of the Championship on Bank Holiday Monday, when they were beaten by Michael Glavey’s in the Junior A Quarter final. With a lot of established players dropping out at the start of the year, it was a tough year for the girls, but the younger girls worked hard throughout and will build from next year. Thanks to all the girls who represented the club during the year.

St Barry’s Ladies Minor team were beaten by a stronger St Croan’s in their first Championship game this evening. Fielding a somewhat weakened side due to girls away on holiday, the girls started slowly, and St Croan’s led by 8 points at halftime. The girls improved the longer the game went on, but were caught on the break by Croan’s as they pushed forward in numbers. The Girls play Boyle on Thursday at 7.30 in Tarmonbarry.
Team: Leah Fleming, Saoirse Fallon, Rebecca Cox, Rhiannon Cox, Laura Beirne, Ann Marie Murphy, Annie McGarry, Geraldine Farrell, Sarah McVeigh, Alaidh Ni Muiri, Nadine Murphy, Edel Beirne, Adrianne Brennan, Claire McGlynn, Rachel Doorley.

Best wishes to St Barry’s minor player Lauren Hannifan who picked up a bad hand injury in training last week.
