Four Roads Players on County Teams

Pride of place this week goes to our county players – both the County U14 team and the U16 teams were in action during the week. Maria Lohan and the County U16 team played Sligo in Boyle on Wednesday evening last and have now secured a play in the Connacht Final on Wednesday May 18th – we wish all involved with the team every success. Aoife Campbell and Oonagh Kelly and the U14 Ladies team played in the Connacht Final on Sunday last against Leitrim where they recorded a victory, and are now thorough to the All Ireland Semi final on either June 11th or 12th. Congratulations to the team and management.

The programme continues this Thursday in the Community Sports Park from 6.45pm. The programme got off to a great start with large numbers attending. One of the main aims is that each child has fun and gets an introduction to football in a non-competitive environment. There will also be an opportunity to attend a mini blitz. It’s a great way to make new friends and learn a new sport. Thanks to all the Club mentors involved. Consent forms are required and are available for signing at each session. Total cost E8 (includes t-shirt).Gum shields advised. For more information contact Valerie (087)7584353.
