Again Oran got through with a well taken goal from centre forward Jack Earley, the same player was man of the match having caused the defence a lot of problems. Shine hit home another 4 points followed up with a goal from Callinan to leave the score at half time Clann 1-7 to 1-4.
Oran started the 2nd half with intensity and scored 2 points in the first minute and followed up with a goal from a penalty and points from play.

Under 12 League action

Another busy weekend for our Under 12 players. Three teams represented the club at this age group in Divisions 1, 4 & 6.
It is very encouraging to see the number of players that Clann can field. A total of 36 boys wore the club jersey with distinction.
The division 1 team lost to St Brigids in Kiltoom on a scoreline of 5-8 to 1-8. A good first half saw them level at half time, but a number of well taken goals by our neighbours saw off Clann’s challenge. Some encouraging points, and some things to work on for the Division 1 squad.

The Division 4 team travelled to Croghan to take on Shannon Gaels. A fantastic battling display was rewarded with a four point win. When the game was in the balance, the lads showed their true footballing character and won out on a scoreline of 5-5 to 4-4. Thanks to all parents and coaches who made the long trip.

Our Division 6 team travelled to Knockcroghery to play St Dominics. St Dominics were victorious, but, once again, there was much to admire in the manner in which these players went about their business and a strong breeze was a decisive factor. The final score was 2-4 to 0-2.
