Handball
Tomorrow at 11am Linda Connolly and Siobhan Tully compete in the All-Ireland Junior ‘B’ 40×20 Doubles Handball Finals in Co. Kilkenny.
Camogie
At 1:30pm on Saturday the Roscommon Minor Camogie team take on Down in the All-Ireland B Final in Stradone Co. Cavan (Note change of venue).
Ladies Gaelic
Tonight the Roscommon Under 14 Ladies Footballers take on Sligo in the Connacht Championship at 7:30pm in the Sligo Centre of Excellence.
On Sunday the Roscommon Intermediate Ladies Footballers take on Sligo in the Connacht Championship at 2pm at Peadar Earley Park, Ballinlough (Note change of venue).
Hurling
The unbeaten Senior Hurlers take on Derry in the first round of the Christy Ring Cup in Athleague at 3:30pm
Soccer
This weekend’s Roscommon and District Football League fixtures features 12 games in five competitions over the next three days. The action is under way, see the fixtures here
Elsewhere, Athlone Town host Cabinteely FC this evening looking to build on their 4 draws and in turn pull away from the bottom of the Airtricity League 1st Division. Kick-off is at 7:45pm, read the preview here.
Rugby
Tomorrow Buccaneers RFC make the journey north to Co. Down and will kick-off their Ulster Bank League Play-off away Division 1A side Ballynahinch at 2:30pm.
Gaelic Games
The Club scene remains focus this weekend and although the County Stars will be absent there’s lots of competitive action in the top three Divisions of the Adult Football Leagues. Fixtures here
Running
The Athlone 5k and 10k run takes place in Clonown, Athlone – just off exit 13 of the M6, on Sunday. This course is one of the flattest in the midlands and is great for those searching for a PB, or those doing their first 5k or 10k run. Full details here
Golf
Carrick Golf Club hold their 4Ball qualifier on Saturday and Sunday, with the top 16 pairings qualifying for match play.
On Sunday Boyle Golf Club host their Ladies and Gents Voucher Prize. The format will be an 18 hole strokeplay competition and all tee times must be booked on-line.
