Joan O’Shea Tournament at Carrick Golf Club
Tommy & Dolores Mulvey won the Joan O’Shea mixed scramble on Sunday last 10 April with a great score of 43 points, they were 4 points ahead of The Barber & Anna Smith on 39. The Club are most grateful to Gus O’Shea for his continued sponsorship of The Joan O’Shea.
Course improvements
Greens Flags
Members will have noticed the new flags on the greens, the high winds and heavy rain over the winter shredded the flags, the club would like to thank Barry Donnellan for his sponsorship of the new flags, as anyone will know the colour choice wasn’t Barry’s it was more by accident than design, front 9 yellow back 9 blue let’s hope it’s a good omen for the Rossies this year!
Trees on 16th
The club would also like to thank John Burke Knockvicar for his very generous donation of young trees which have been planted on right of 16th fairway.
