Minor Football
Well done to the minors who made light work of Eire Og winning 7.12 to 0.04. This was a great performance and emphasises the work being done in training.
Minor training continues this week on Wednesday evening. Details will be sent out.
CBS
CBS Roscommon have won the Connacht Post Primary Senior C Hurling Final, defeating Colaiste Einde by 2-6 to 0-11. Roscommon Gaels were are very proud of our players involved. Well done to James Walker,James Featherstone,Brandon Costelloe and Tom Cullen.
Camogie U-8 & U-10
U8 & U10 indoor training continues in the Convent Gym on Thursday evenings.
U8 6:30 – 7:10 pm
U10 7:10 – 8:00 pm
Hurleys will be provided for indoor sessions. But if you have your own hurley, bring it and put an old sock over the bás of it (protects the gym floor).
All Camogie players are required to wear helmets. In the past, we have provided old helmets but this is no longer possible as we cannot guarantee that these helmets meet the required safety standards. (We will have some old helmets on standby for beginners). However, we will be selling helmets in the Roscommon Gaels colours at cost price. Talk to the coaches for details. Please bring Helmet, €2 per family and a drink.
Camogie U14
The U14 will continue Tuesday’s in the Hyde 7-8pm and Saturdays in Lisnamult 11-12.30pm.
Roscommon Camogie Minors
The Roscommon Camogie Minors have defeated Laois by 0-13 to 2-5 in the group stage of the All-Ireland Minor B Championship. Well done to all.
U14 Hurling Feile
The U-14 hurlers lost to Athleague / Tremane on a score of 1.01 to 2.02. We now take on Oran next Saturday in Lisnamult. Time to be decided. It will be sent out and supporters can keep an eye on Facebook for updates.
Senior Hurling
The senior hurlers had a great win over James Stephens in the Tain League scoring 5-27 to 2-06.
Training continues on Friday at 7.30pm in Lisnamult.
U-12 Ladies Football
U12 ladies football training will be starting back on Wednesday next March 2nd in Dr Hyde Park. We are looking forward to welcoming some old and new faces.
Management team this year will be Aisling Mc Neill and Serena O Farrell with some TY / 5th year students.
U12 Boys Football
U 12 Boys football continues Thursdays @ 7.15pm sharp. Water is essential.
U-16 Football
The U-16 footballers take on St. Brigits next Saturday in the Division One league. The match is in Lisnamult under lights and is sure to be a good game. Lets Go Gaels!
Roscommon Ladies Football
The Roscommon ladies Footballers have defeated Down by 1-15 to 1-7 in Round 4 of the Lidl Ladies National Football League. Well done to all
Senior Football
Training continues as usual. We take on Kilmore next on March 20th.
Roscommon Run Riot over the Rebels
Congratulations to Cian Connolly and Kevin McManus who represented Roscommon Gaels on the county tam who demolished Cork by 18 points on a score line of Cork 3-10 Roscommon 4-25
Also congratulations to the managers Fergal and Kevin.
REFEREES WANTED
Roscommon GAA are in the process of recruiting personnel who are interested in taking up refereeing. If you are in full time work, seeking employment or still going to school or college this is an ideal way to earn extra money and make new friends while keeping yourself healthy and fit in the process. If you think you have what it takes to referee a senior county final, a Connacht final or indeed an All Ireland Senior Final, this is where the dream begins.

“25” Card Drive in the Hyde
“25” card playing in the Hyde continues on Monday nights. The regular clientele are enjoying the cards, the craic and the cuppa. It takes place every Monday night @8.30pm in the Hyde centre. There is a €5 entry with cash prize on the night. All are welcome.

There was no winner of the jackpot and next week’s jackpot is €3100 and the numbers drawn were 03, 19, 24, 30.

Defibrillator Training Spring 2016
Roscommon Gaels is currently planning its next Defibrillator Training Classes. Anyone interested in taking this most important please contact John Donnellan (086-0402081).

3) Gaelic Games Child Protection in Sport Awareness
Please note this is a mandatory course for anyone involved in coaching underage GAA Teams.

This workshop is for those who have completed the Foundation Course in Roscommon Community College on 26/27 Feb.
4) Connacht GAA Coaching Conference
This year’s Connacht GAA Coaching Conference will take place on Saturday March 5th in the Connacht Centre in Bekan. A full programme of events is planned for the day and is geared towards adult senior club coaches; spaces are limited so booking is essential at a cost of €25 which will include lunch. Please check Connacht GAA Coaching website for full details of the conference.

D. Club Coaching Committee
Our Club will be forming a Coaching Committee to work at establishing structures that will help existing coaches, encourage more people to become coaches in our club.
Good Coaching improves the playing experience for all our underage players as they progress from U8-U18.
Our Team Mangers across all codes will be contacted shortly to gather ideas on Structure of Committee, Priorities, etc
