The search to find the young artists who will excel in this year’s Texaco Childrens Art Competition has begun.
Last year students from across Co. Roscommon entered the event in their numbers, which is now in its 63rd year and widely acknowledged as the longest running arts sponsorship in Ireland.
Pictured above, viewing two of last year’s local entries, is is Valero (Texaco) Marketing Manager Bronagh Carron. On the left, is an entry entitled ‘Two-Faced’ by 16-years old Hannah-Ruth Halford and ‘Playing on the Keys’ by 16-years old Jade Grehan, both of whom are pupils at Roscommon Community College.
The closing date for this year’s competition is Tuesday, 28th February and judging will take place in March. The winners will be announced in mid-April, with prize giving to follow in May.
