Well done to Ciara Carr who plays under 14 and under 16 with the club and received the Convent of Mercy, Roscommon ‘First Year Sports Star’.
Also to club senior star Rachel Fitzmaurice on winning the ‘Senior Sports Star’. This is a massive achievement girls and we’re all very proud in the club.

Convent of Mercy Camogie

Congratulations to the Convent of Mercy, First year Camogie team and especially the three club members; Ciara Carr, Roisin Hamrock and Rachel Murray, who won the Connacht Final against Portumna CS recently.

Under 14

Well done to the under 14 team who beat Roscommon Gaels last Tuesday evening on a scoreline of 2-02 to 0-2. The girls play Four Roads, Tuesday (this evening) at 7pm. Girls will be let know via text about the game.

Athleague Camogie on National Radio

Last Friday evening, the club, was chosen from other clubs around the country as winner of €500 ‘one 4 all’ voucher on the ‘Eoghan McDermott show’ on RTE 2FM.
Club member, Niamh Conway entered the club in the competition and spoke on air about what Athleague Camogie is and how we would spend the money. This is a great boost for the club.

Hurl with Me Programme

The Hurl with me programme continues on Wednesday evenings at 7pm in Athleague for under 8s and Under 10s and their parents. The parents are being coached by club and former county star Annette McGeeney.
This initiative will culminate with a day out for the parents and the girls in the GAA centre of excellence in Abbotstown, Dublin.
