U12 Boys
Our Division 1 team had a home match on Wednesday evening last against St. Dominics. Although missing a number of players, St. Brigid’s were second best against a much slicker and well drilled St. Dominics side with the Knockcroghery based side running out convincing winners in the end.

Our Division 5 game scheduled for Kiltoom on Friday evening against Clann na nGael was postponed as a mark of respect due to the sad passing of Donie Shine Snr.

U14 Boys League: St.Michaels 0-4, St Brigids 3-9
Our Div 1 team made the long journey to Coothall on Thursday evening to take on St.Michaels. Despite dominating possession in the early stages, it took almost 10 minutes to get the first score, when Bobby Nugent got a point. This was followed by a point from Daniel Keenan and a goal from Hughie Cunniffe. This was followed by a great goal from Eanna McDonald and further points from Daniel and Michael Sugrue, leaving us leading by 2-05 to 0-0 at the break after playing against a stiff breeze. The expected onslaught never materialised as St. Michaels got a foothold in the game and scored 4 points on the trot. This sprung Brigids into life, and we responded with another goal from Daniel Keenan, and a great long range point from Thomas O’Brien. Further points by Bobby and Daniel ensured that we ran out winners in the end. There were good performance in defence by David Dolan, Liam Hennelly, Daniel Meeley and Ronan Doyle, who had an outstanding game. Jamie Curley and Hughie Cunniffe played well in the forwards.Team and Scorers: K.Derwin, L.Hennelly, A.Donovan, D.Dolan, H.Griselan, D.Meeley, R.Doyle, M.Sugrue 0-1, T.O’Brien 0-1,J.Curley, J.Goose,B.Nugent0-2,E.McDonald1-0,H.Cunniffe1-01,D.Keenan1-04 .

Under 14 Division 4: Eire Og 7-07, St Brigids 3-09

Our Division 4 team suffered our first league defeat against Eire Og on Thursday night. This was a game we could have won, but we conceded too many soft goals and our defence will need to tighten up considerable if we are to progress further in this competition. Nevertheless, there were good performance from Luke Murphy, Paddy Higgins, James O’Rourke and Sol Trundle.
Team: M.Sammuals, E.Reid, O.Benton, B.Gonley, L.Murphy ,B. Armstrong, S.Trundle, J.O’Rourke, P.Higgins , A.O’Donoghue,, L.Whelan,C.Meeley, Billy Ray Dolan.
