Athleague Camogie Under 10s chosen for “Hurl with me”

There was no luck for the Under 14 team in the final of the Under 14 championship on Saturday evening last when they were defeated by Oran on the scoreline of 3 goals 1 pt to 2goals in Tisrara Community Pitch. After the game the team were treated to refreshments in the Community Centre, Athleague.

Hard Luck

Hard luck to the County Junior team who were defeated by Dublin in the final of the Littlewoods Division 3 League final which was played in Coralstown, Kinnegad on Sunday last. Nine members of the Club senior team were part of the panel ,namely, Meabh Tiernan, Elaine Daly, Laura Fleming, Rachel Fitzmaurice, Kelley Hopkins, Rebecca Brennan, Fiona Connell Jones, Chloe Whyte Lennon and Éala Coyle. Fiona Connell Jones was withdrawn with an ankle injury after 10 minutes of the game.

Athleague selected for ‘Hurl with me Programme’

The Club’s Under 10 team has been chosen for the’ Hurl with me Programme’ once again this year along with 23 more teams. The programmes consists of 4 weeks coaching for the parents of the players by an outside coach. The team and their parents will travel to Abbotstown on Sunday, 25th June, 2017 to play against teams from other Clubs. The total number of teams chosen was 24. Further details will be given to the parents in the next week.

Get Active, Get Healhty, Spring League.

The Senior team play the first round of the Get Active Get Healthy Spring League on Saturday next at home to Oran. In the event of a draw at full time there will be extra time played of 10 minutes per half.
