U14 Féile Championship
Four Roads are through to the U14 County Féile ‘A’ Championship Final, having seen off the challenge of Pádraig Pearses in the semi-final last Thursday evening on a final score of 2-4 to 2-2. A late finish secured a place for Four Roads Camogie club at the National Féile finals which will be held in Carlow and Kilkenny in June.
Roscommon Gaels and St Dominics will contest the second semi-final which takes place this Tuesday 25th April at 7pm, with home advantage to the Gaels. The winners of this match will meet Four Roads in the final on Wednesday 3rd May at 7pm in Four Roads pitch and will join the Tisrara club at ‘Féile’. Padraig Pearses will be waiting for the losers of this match in the U14 County ‘B’ final. This match takes place on Saturday 29th April at 5.30pm in Four Roads pitch and will be preceded at 4pm by the U14 County ‘C’ final between Oran and Athleague.
As ‘The Oak Dental Practice’ sponsored U14 Féile championship for 2017 enters its final stages, all clubs are reminded that the U14 Féile camogie skills County Final will take place on Friday 5th May. Each club can enter three representatives who will each be tested on six key camogie skills and the victor will represent County Roscommon in the National Féile camogie skills competition.
Adult Spring League
The ‘Get Active, Get Healthy’ Spring League is on hold until after the National League final next Saturday. The previously postponed game between Four Roads and Athleague will be re-fixed after next weekend.
Camán to Croker
On Easter Monday, Oran and Tulsk represented Roscommon in the U12 Camán to Croker Camogie development initiative which has been running for a number of years.
