There are seven St Patrick’s Day Parades in Roscommon and there is sure to be something for everyone and the start times are as follows:
Cootehall – 2pm.
Ballaghaderreen – 2.30pm.
Ballyleague to Lanesboro – 2:30pm, starting at St. Faithleach’s GAA Club.
Ballintubber – 3pm.
Elphin – 3pm, starting at the Fire Station.
Boyle – 3.30pm, starting at Mockmoyne.
Rooskey – 5pm.
In addition many Roscommon groups and floats will participate in Parade in Carrick on Shannon (12:45pm from the Primary School) and Athlone (2:30pm from the Shannon Lodge Hotel).
Light rain and low temperatures – highs of 10c – are forecast and the advice is to wrap up well.
