St Brigids GAA update November 22nd

St Brigids GAA

Connacht Club Final
Sunday 27th November is the biggest day in the club calendar, when our senior team take on Galway champions Corofin in the Connacht Final at 2pm in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada, Carrick on Shannon. As we all know these days do not come around every year so we are encouraging supporters to get their flags, banners and bunting up and show your support for all our lads hard work.

Club Dinner Dance
Our Club Dinner dance will take place on 14th January 2017 in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone. Presentation of medals for our Minor and Senior County Champions will take place on the night. Medals will be presented by the GAA president Aogán Ó Fearghaíl.

St Brigids Merchandise
Get Connacht Final ready with your flags, beanie hats, jerseys, half zips etc all available in the club shop. The shop will be open from 8-9pm on Friday or contact Bernie to arrange a time on 086-6064604.

Minor Connacht Final
Commiserations to our minor team who were unfortunate to lose out to Salthill-Knocknacarra in the Connacht Final on Friday night last in Ballyhaunis. It was a brilliant performance and we are all so proud of all that this team have achieved this year. Well done lads.

St Brigids Scor na nOg
Well done to all competitors who represented the club this weekend in the Scor na nOg Semi Finals. Congratulations to the A figure dancing team of James Morris, Jane Hennelly, Patrick Collins, Rebecca Keenan, Dylan Dennehy, Jessica Collins, John Morris and Shantaya McDonnell who qualified for the County Finals in the Dean Crowe Theatre on Sunday 11th December at 1pm. Commiserations to the B figure dancing team of Peter Walsh, Orlaith O Boyle, Shauna Walsh, Katelyn Carey, Alison Ward, Aoibhinn McLoughlin, Katie Nicholson and Nicole Gallagher and also to solo singer Amy Fallon who just lost out narrowly on County Final slots. Tickets for the County Finals can be purchased on the Dean Crowe Theatre website.

St Brigids GAA Lotto
For the first time ever our lotto jackpot has reached its maximum limit of €19,000. With the jackpot so high it is a great opportunity to raise vital funds for our club. It is also very easy to sell the lotto when the jackpot is so high. With this in mind we are asking people if they can take some lotto books and try and sell tickets to family, friends and work colleagues. If you think you could sell tickets please contact Barry on 086-8504676.
St Brigids lotto can be played in all local shops and pubs, as well as on-line at stbrigids.gaa.ie. Tickets are only €2 each and this week’s jackpot is €19,000.
