Four Mile House based company Gilligan Farm Fresh Meats has received three prizes at Blas na hEireann, The Irish Food Awards.
Their Honey & Mustard Bacon won the Bronze Award in the Bacon (Other products) category and their Mexican Beef Stir Fry won the Silver in the Beef (Other products) category. They also won the county Roscommon Award which was sponsored by the Roscommon Local Enterprise Office.
Now in their 9th year Blas na hEireann, The Irish Food Awards is the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland. Over 2,500 products were entered into the 2016 competition to win Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards in over 100 food and drink categories as well as key awards such as Supreme Champion and Best Artisan Producer.
