Ballymoe FC had a very successful weekend with the underage teams winning two competitions and the senior team progressing to the next round of the FAI Junior Cup.
The U-12 team won the Second Division Cup in Shiven on Sunday when they beat Lough Harps 4-2. The team played excellently throughout and set-up goals for Cian Revins, who scored a hat-trick, and Ryan Hanley. Captain Michael Hussey was presented with the cup on behalf of the team. Thanks to the management team of Martin and Carol Glancy and Maria Revins for managing the team for the year and to the whole team of players from Ballymoe, Ballintubber and Oran with many of them joining the club for the first time this season.
The U-18 team won the league for the second year in a row when they defeated Ahascragh 5-2 on Saturday with Damien Goggins scoring 4. Well done to the management team of Jimmy Egan, Seamie Connolly and Padraic Grogan for their work with this side which certainly has an abundance of talent.
The senior side beat Dysart 3-2 in Ballymoe on Sunday, with Barry Gaffey scoring twice and Cathal Conneally with the other.
