Sadly Roscommon teams are not involved in today’s All-Ireland Football Final but there are a number of other Roscommon natives taking to the field in Croke Park today.
Ballaghaderreen’s Andy Moran plays a full forward for Mayo with David Drake and Barry Solan also involved with the team.
Referee Paddy Neilan, a member of the St Faithleach’s Club, is the Linesman and Stand-By Referee for the All-Ireland Minor Final between Galway and Kerry.
Aisling Hanly from Kilteevan, who plays her Club Football with Kilbride, will play in the INTO/Cumann na mBunscoil Go Games at half-time in the Senior Final between Dublin and Mayo.
And Seo Linn, fronted by Lecarrow’s Stiofán Ó Fearail, will perform between the two games.
In addition there are a number of volunteer stewards from County Roscommon who assist in Croke Park throughout the season.
