St Brigids GAA News update July 26th

St Brigids GAA
St Brigids Annual Golf Classic

Yet again we had another hugely successful golf claasic last Friday in Athlone Golf club. We would like to thank everyone in Athlone Golf Club for hosting our classic including greenkeepers, caterers, club PRO and of course the committee and club members. As always the course was in great shape and somehow they even managed to control the weather for us.
A special thanks to our main club sponsors and also our annual golf classic sponsor Hodson Bay Hotel and thank you to Tim Hayes (Manager in Hodson Bay Hotel) for presenting the prizes.
Of course we cannot thank those who sponsored tees or entered teams enough, your support is greatly appreciated by St. Brigid’s.
Finally last but not least thank you to Bernie Sammon and Tom Blaine for helping out with organising and running the classic, but most importantly thank you to P.J. Martin for organising and running this very successful event every year.

In April Marty Morrisey visited Kiltoom to interview two of our club members and Save Roscommon committee members Tony Ward and John Tiernan. The interview is based on the proposed boundary changes but the RTE crew also managed to get some great shots around the club including an u16 boys training session. So tune in to RTE one at 6:30pm next Sunday 31st July.
