Our men’s team suffered a heavy defeat to Kilmore on Saturday in Strokestown.
Our junior men play Roscommon Gaels in a division 5 encounter in Kilbride on Sunday at 2pm.
Our U16 boys play Boyle in the opening round of the championship on Sunday in Boyle at 12pm.
Our U14 boys commence their championship against St Barry’s/Kilglass in Tarmonbarry on Thursday.
Our U8 boys participated in a successful blitz on Saturday in Ballyleague.
Ladies Round-up
Well done to the U 12’s who had another great win this weekend against St. Faithleachs . The game was played in Kilbride on Sunday evening and although conditions were wet and windy the girls still managed a good performance winning on a scoreline of 7-15 to 3-02. The girls are now through to a quarter final next Sunday at 6pm (venue and opposition tbc). Team : Katelyn Shally , Rachel Hoare , Karina Leonard , Rebecca Gavigan , Ashling Cronin, Aisling Hanly. Aisling Shanagher, Clodagh Murray , Rachel Glynn and Hazel Carty.
The Senior Ladies had a very enjoyable bonding day on Saturday. A huge thank you to Ollie Lennon for organising it , Thanks also to Tom Costelloe and everyone at Bay Sports and to Tim Hayes and the Hudson Bay Hotel for sponsoring the food. Finally another huge thank you to Kevin McStay who took time out of his busy schedule to give the team a very insightful talk to finish off a really enjoyable day . Trianing continues on Wednesday and Friday and the team are looking forward to their first championship game next Saturday evening in Kilbride against Eire Og . Throw in is at 7 p.m. and support would be very much appreciated .
The U 14s begin the Summer league on Tuesday 28th June with a home game against Oran.
U 10s , U 8’s and U 6’s continue to have fun and develop their skills every Monday from 7 to 8. Numbers are great this year which ensures training is even more fun so keep it up! Don’t forget drinks and gumshields.
