Roscommon Cyclist Daire Feeley has been rewarded for his excellent showing the in An Post Rás by being selected on the six-man Irish team for Sunday’s Philadelphia International Cycling Classic.
The longest running UCI sanctioned event in the USA, the Philadelphia International Cycling Classic will see 19 teams race for 176km. They will complete nine laps of the 19.7km course through Philadelphia with a spectacular finish at the top of the famous Manayunk Wall. The riders will battle for “King of the Mountains” points on Lemon Hill and the Manayunk Wall with a sprint zone located along Kelly Drive.
The team flew out to the US yesterday, and features National road race champion Damien Shaw, Eoin Morton, Ian Richardson Michael O’Loughlin and Eddie Dunbar along side Daire Feeley.
