The Brazilian side showed all their skill and flair in the first half against a Shiven Rovers side who were way below their best in this half. With just two minutes played Vando Silva found Marchelo Silva with a neat pass and he slid the ball past the advancing Damien Lynch. Fifteen minutes later Danis Cruz added a second after good work by Lucas De Paula Rosico Gomez. Gradually Shiven Rovers started to get a foot hold in the game with Shane Harkin Michael Doyle and Larry Kenny playing well. However just when it looked like Shiven would pull a goal back Edimilson Paixao took advantage of hesitancy in the Shiven defence and slammed the ball to the net.
The second half was a real thriller with the outcome in doubt until the last few minutes. Obviously Sean Gavin and Luke Kerrigan had a quiet word with the players at half time as Shiven had a real go in the second half. With fourteen played Francis Kilcommins volleyed an Aidan Mc Inerney cross to the Brazukas net. Within two minutes Vando finished off a fine passing move involving Matheus Lvar and Marcos Silva to restore the three goal advantage. Three minutes later the impressive Keith Murphy scored a well deserved goal and with ten minutes left to play Eoghan Mc Donagh headed a Shane Harkin to the net to leave the score line 4 – 3 in favour of the Brazilians. Only two excellent stops by Eugenio Paixao kept the nervous Brazukas ahead as Shiven piled on the pressure. However the game suddenly changed with seven minutes left to play. Vando intercepted a pass near the half way line and waltzed through the Shiven Rovers defence before volleying to past Dominic Lynch in the Shiven net. It was a goal fit to win any final and so it proved as Brazukas held on for victory.
