Michael Fitzmaurice has called on the media to listen in detail to the comments made by David Hall of the Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation at the Dail Committee for Housing yesterday.
Deputy Fitzmaurice said “There was was controversy with the comments of David Hall yesterday in which he said that Minister Noonan is in support of vulture funds. Having spent a lot of time with Mr. Hall in our negotiations for Government and the problems facing mortgage holders, he is acutely aware of the problems facing people with mortgage difficulties and his organisation have helped 10,000 people thus far. He has very good ideas on this important issue. David Hall is a man who should be listened to as he has no hidden agenda whatsoever and the Government should take his views on board. He may have been blunt with what he said at the Housing Committee and I know that does not go down well with those in power and in the media, but if you listen in detail at what he said, he is telling the truth” he concluded.
