Roscommon and District Football League Masters Oscar Traynor Cup
Cloonfad United 2-3 MD Town

The first team went out of the premier division cup to neighbours MD Town on Friday night. It turned out to be another game were we missed a host of chances to seal a victory. Morgan Lyons gave us an early lead and the same player went close with a couple of solo efforts. Ryan Merchant also missed when it was far easier to score and as normally happens we conceded before half time to make it 1-1. Early in the 2nd Merchant hit the crossbar from 25 yards but we conceded again from a corner as MD came more into the game. Cloonfad chased the game to the end and Kieran Kiely was unfortunate to see his header rebound off the post and Shane Fagan brought a good save from the MD keeper. MD wrapped up the game with a third goal on 91 mins but Kiely replied almost immediately to make the final score 3-2.
