The Athlone 5k and 10k run takes place in Clonown, Athlone – just off exit 13 of the M6, on Sunday April 24th.
This course is one of the flattest in the midlands and is great for those searching for a PB, or those doing their first 5k or 10k run. There is a prize fund, an Athletic Ireland (AI) permit and a great atmosphere and legendary post-race refreshments!
The 5k Race starts at 2PM, the Entry Fee is €10 and entrants must be over 16 due to the Athletic Ireland (AI) permit. The 10K race will get under way at 2.30PM, the Entry Fee for the 10k Run is €10 and entrants must be over 18 due to the Athletic Ireland (AI) permit. Walkers are welcome, but no bikes will be allowed. Places can be booked in advance at active.com
