Despite a great battling performance from the First Team we lost 2-1 at home to Moore United no Saturday night. Moore took an early lead as the Cloonfad defence was easily opened after 11 minutes. We came more into the game as the half went on and a deflected Shane Fagan effort brought us level on 33 minutes. However we conceded from a corner kick seven minutes later. Our goal keeper was red carded early in the second half and our backs were to the wall for the remainder of the game. Despite having a good go we never threatened the Moore goal.

Next Saturday we face the only unbeaten team Shiven Rovers in the second round of the Roscommon Cup.. Kick-off: 7:45p.m in Newbridge.
The B Team are away to MD Town B on Sunday.
