Roscommon Galway Independent TD Michael Fitzmaurice has welcomed the news of funding for four Roscommon Festivals which was announced recently.
Speaking earlier he said “I welcome the funding announced for local festivals this week. This funding is part of a national one million euro investment in festivals through Fáilte Ireland which was announced by the Department of Tourism and Sport.In Roscommon, the FIPS World Championships in Boat Angling is receiving the largest grant of €8,000, Boyle Arts Festival will get €3,000, the O’Carolan Harp Festival €2,500 and the Percy French Festival will receive €2,000.”
