Oran Strictly Come Dancing
After months of planning & preparation Oran’s Strictly Come Dancing was an excellent night on Saturday 20th last. It was a superb show from start to finish with the dancers serving up an unforgettable performance each with a different dance style. Well done to Mary Quine & Ivan Connaughton who were in first place with Sinéad Hoban & Joe Davis in second place, however, the 30 dancers really were all winners.
It was a really enjoyable & successful night and in getting to the night, we have a few people we would like to thank; First & foremost our 30 wonderful dancers, without you guys, we would have no show! They gave up so much of their free time to train & really put in the effort to produce a show that was top class, so entertaining & it will go down a s night to be remembered long into the future, for this we are ever so grateful. To their families also; thank you for supporting & encouraging them but also for letting us have them pretty much full time since January!
To our main sponsors Carty’s Porterhouse, Rockfords, Keen Print & Donamon Tarmacadam & to all our other sponsors, we are very grateful to each of you for coming on board & being so generous & making the show possible. Aisling & all the Staff at the Radisson Blu Athlone, for the wonderful service & help they gave us. John Lee MC, Judges; Colette Glynn, Mick Rock, & Brian Carroll for coming along, they did a wonderful job, their presence on the night added another dimension to the show. DJ Seamus Duke who will helped us dance the night away! Denise & Cassie from Beauty Secrets in Roscommon & Grace Wright who were our makeup artists on the night who did a wonderful job as always on all our beautiful dancers. Sinéad & her team in Jack Edwards Hair Salon in Roscommon, for the lovely hairstyles which suit the dance routines so well! Shirley Spellman from Future Flowers in Roscommon who is responsible for the beautiful flowers for all the ladies on the night, she put her special touch to work again! Brendan McDermott & Mary Concannon for making Clooneycolgan Hall & Ballinaheglish Hall available for dance practice, always open in time, warm & cleared. Roscommon Herald & Roscommon People & Shannonside FM, their help & patience has not gone unnoticed & we would like to thank you sincerely for assisting us. Seamie Lennon who took some professional pictures for us in the run up to the Event. Emmet & his team in Keen Print for his assistance with our Event Programme. His knowledge, effort, dedication & patience was much appreciated. Lorraine Wynne, Madga & Rebecca for all their hard work, time, effort & dedication to bring the very best out in all these fine dancers. And to everyone who bought tickets from far & wide for the night and to anyone who sponsored the dancers, your generosity is very much so appreciated.
Well done to the Roscommon Team on a great win over Cork at the weekend.
