Cloonfad United 1-2 Ballaghadereen
It was a fatal blow to Cloonfad’s attempts of regaining their Premier Division status when they conceded two goals in the last ten minutes to fall to a 2-1 defeat against Ballaghadereen on Sunday. We took an early lead after five minutes via an own goal but after that we failed to test the Ballaghadereen keeper. However despite a great performance from Cormac Costello, Shane Fagan and Frank Ronane our Premier Division hopes are threadbare.
Reserves defeated
The Reserves put in a decent performance vs table toppers Lough Harps. James McDonagh forced a great save from the Harps keeper early on and Sean Ruane really should have scored with his attempt. However when two players were forced off injured early in the second half our lack of strength and depth was shown as we fell to a 3-0 defeat. Seamus Burke and Declan Costello were outstanding for Cloonfad.
