The GAA Handball Congress took place on Sunday last in Croke Park with Tim Finneran (Fairymount), John Nolan (Lisacul/Clooncan) and Eddie Conboy (Kilglass Gaels) representing Ros Comáin as well as Liam Ó Ceallaigh (Mount Talbot) in attendance as an Ard Comhairle member.
The delegates witnessed the election of Joe Masterson as Uachtarain Tofa of GAA Handball. Aoghan Ó Fearghail, Uachtarain CLG, who spoke of his GAA roots which were as a player and administrator in Handball. He fondly remembered his memories of playing handball in open alleys in Cavan in his youth and of his vision to construct a new state of art Handball Centre in Croke Park, which was widely welcomed by all delegates.
