The Roscommon 40 X 20 Singles Handball Championships are now complete with some fantastic action taking place at the various venues.
In the Junior B County Final John Healy defeated Padraig Coyle 21-15, 21-11 in a thrilling game. Both players showed extremely high skill levels and John will surely compete strongly in the Connacht Championships where he will take on Jason Earlis of Sligo in the quarter final.
In the Junior C County Final John Kelly defeated Alan Mannion 21-10, 21-18 in an extremely close encounter that could have went to a tiebreaker only for the experience of John who pulled out all the stops to see off Alan. John will now face Michael Bruen of Sligo in the Connacht Championship.
In the Doubles Championship John Kelly and Alan Mannion teamed up to defeat Adrian & Cyril McDonnell on a score line of 21-12, 21-13 in an exciting encounter which took place in St Brigids, Curraghboy.
