Kilbride 5-7 Michael Glaveys 1-8

Huge congratulations to our U 12 girls team who were crowned Div 3A Champions on Saturday afternoon in Kiltoom . Despite the wet conditions the girls put in yet another super performance against a gallant Michael Glaveys side to win the silverware on a scoreline of 5-07 to 1-08 .Once again each and every player was instrumental in the win and the super talented Aisling Hanly contributed 3-07 of the final scoreline of 5-07 with Aisling Shanagher finding the net on the other two occasions . Katelyn Shally was excellent in goals and Karina Leonard was immense at full back cutting out several goal chances and producing excellent kick outs . She was ably assisted in the backline by Rachel Hoare , Etain Kelly , Ellen Tully and Rebecca Gavigan who defended with great passion right throughout the match . Midfield pairing of Aisling Hanly and Ashling Cronin won loads of possession from the kickouts and ensured a constant supply of ball to the forwards . Aisling Shanagher was a constant threat in the forward line and was ably supported by Clodagh Murray , Hazel Carty Rachel Glynn and Rachel Tully. Team Captain Karina Leonard was presented with the shield by Vice Chairman of the ladies board Brendan Cregg amid scenes of jubilation . The girls have improved immensely since they started training a few months ago and credit for this goes to the management team of Erica Feely , Johnny Cronin and Margaret Leonard so a big thank you for all your hard work . Thanks also to the parents for bringing the girls to training and to matches all to all the supporters who travelled to the final on Saturday . Well done to the ladies Co Board for organising the U 12 finals day and to all in St Brigids club for making it such a great day .
