Today, Friday August 19th, is the closing date to nominate your Doctor or Medical Centre for the GPBuddy.ie national GP Awards.
Taking place in the Shelbourne Hotel on Thursday 15th September, the GPBuddy Awards will recognise the achievements and collaborative efforts of Doctors and healthcare professionals in community healthcare in Ireland.
Speaking at the launch of the Awards GP and TV Presenter Doctor Pixie McKenna said: “As a practicing GP, I understand the challenges and sacrifices that healthcare professionals make in order to deliver high quality healthcare to their patients. As a GP and in my television work, we come across all kinds of situations every day and collaboration between healthcare professionals is key to delivering a timely diagnosis for patients. I am delighted to see this collaborative work and the role of the GP being recognised in these Awards.”
As the first and only Awards of its kind in Ireland, the GPBuddy Awards will recognise the achievements of healthcare providers in urban and rural locations who work in collaboration to deliver primary healthcare in Ireland.
Nominations
Healthcare providers and medical professional from the recently qualified to the long-established will be rewarded for their dedication, commitment and innovative contributions to primary healthcare.
Professionals can nominate themselves or a colleague while Patients are encouraged to take part by voting for a GP of their choice in the Patients’ Choice Award.
