Michael Fitzmaurice TD has called on the Minister for Health and the Junior Minister with responsibility for Mental Health to comment on why the Report into Roscommon Mental Health Services is nine months overdue.
The Independent TD said “I have put down a Parliamentary Question to the Minister to find out why the HSE report into mental health services in county Roscommon has been delayed for so long. In August 2015 we were told that the review would take three months yet here we are in August 2016 and there is no sign of that report. I understand that the number of people who wished to have an input into the findings was much larger than was anticipated but the report should be published as soon as possible.”
Michael Fitzmaurice concluded by saying “I am calling on the Minister for State McEntee and Minister Simon Harris to make a statement on this very important matter.”
