There have been very positive reports from Aisling’s performance on stage and she has a strong chance of qualifying for next week’s live Finals which will be shown on RTE 1.
The second qualifying heat takes place tonight and the list of 65 Roses will be whittled down to 32 ahead.
Aisling McNeill is not the only Roscommon lady involved at this year’s event. Roscommon native and Oranmore resident Sheila O’Hanrahan Lawlor sits on the judging panel. She won the title in 1980 and works as an Adjunct Lecturer and Tutor at the NUI Galway. Caoimhe McGovern from Croghan is one of the 65 Junior Roses, known as “Rose Buds” who are twinned with Roses.
The second annual Enterprise Ireland International Business Women’s Conference will be held in conjunction with the Rose of Tralee International Festival on Monday next, August 22nd at the Brandon Hotel, Tralee. Find out more here.
