Kilbride 7-05 Roscommon Gaels 2-11
Congratulations to our U 14 girls who won the Summer League Cup final on Saturday beating Roscommon Gaels on a scoreline of . The first half was a very close affair and a physically stronger Roscommon Gaels side were dominant and led by 3 at the break 1-08 to 2-02. indeed they should have been further ahead had they capitalised on their possession. However Kilbride came out a changed side in the second half and put on an exhibition of goal scoring for the large support . Aisling Hanly was not content with one hat trick on the day , the talented forward tormented the Gaels defence with an amazing tally of six goals .This was a super team performance from the goalie , the backs , mid field and the forwards with everyone contributing and working hard right through the game . A big thanks also to the management of Johnnie , Cole , Rochelle , Alice and Joan. The girls begin their championship campaign next Sunday evening with a home game against Four Roads at 6 p.m.

Kilbride 2-14 St Brigids 3-11
Our senior ladies travelled to Kiltoom on Sunday to take on St. Brigids . The team will be happy enough with the drawn result although it was a game that they should have won but could easily have lost too! The first half was a close affair with very little between the teams although Kilbride will rue some missed scoring chances, Half time score Kilbride 1-07 St.Brigids 2-06. St.Brigids hit a purple patch early in the second half and at one stage led by 6 points , however a determined Kilbride outfit pulled back the lead steadily over the last 20 mins to earn themselves a well deserved draw.
The result sees the team finish second in the group and they are now through to the county semi final against Strokestown on Saturday 27th August at 7 p.m.
