St Dominics will hope to continue where they left off against Oran when they take on Kilbride in the Championship on this Saturday in Kilbride at 5.30pm. This is a must win game for both sides if they are to reach the play off stages. With Michael Finneran retired and Michael Byrne and Naos Connaughton out of the country Malachy Gately’s team will show a number of changes from the last outing but should still be confident of overcoming Kilbride.

Ladies Football
St Dominics Junior team sponsored by Roscommon Leisure Zone faced a competitive Four Roads at St. Dominic’s in Round 3 of their Championship on Sunday the 31st of July in front of a good home crowd and we gave the supporters a game to watch with the home side going in at half time a point down. We had lots of scoring chances but unfortunately we lacked the confidence to convert them. The second half saw a different story with St Dominics winning the kick outs and this time converting their scores. Susan Spillane, Caroline Dowling, Niamh Watson, Aine O’Meara and Nicole Dolan among the scorers. Once again the backs doing an excellent job with Aisling and Eimear McNally, Sinead Morris and Sorcha Casey standing out. Aisling Byrne was very strong in midfield. It was great to see such a large panel of girls with a full subs bench to call on. St. Dominic’s were deserving winners on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-04 and are through to the semi-final which will take place on the 8th of August, opposition and location to be confirmed. St. Dominics minors play away to St. Faithleach’s this Thursday the 4th of August at 7pm, your support is welcome.
