This week’s Mid-Western Girls Soccer League activity focused on Club games and the following is a round-up of the action.
In the M2 Sports Under 10 League, CP Ajax played neighbours Castlerea Celtic. Best for Castlerea were Carla Connelly, Sinead Freeman, Megan Costello and Aoife Silke while Aimee Caslin, Grace McDermott, Elizabeth Gory and Hannah Kelly all excelled for CP Ajax.
Glen Celtic played Shiven Rovers and Courtney Parsons shone for Glen Celtic.
In the Westward Scania Under 12 League, Strokestown United & Ballaghaderreen FC played out a scoreless draw in wet, blustery conditions.
In the Geraghty Travel Under 14 League, CP Ajax defeated Ballaghaderreen FC 2-1 with goals from Lauren Shanagher and Edel Beirne while the Ballaghaderreen reply came from Madeline Bell. Strokestown United defeated Glen Celtic with Leigh McGinley & Megan Tynan on target for the winners.
