Best of Luck to the Roscommon Minor Camogie team who play Down in the All-Ireland ‘B’ final on Saturday,23rd April, time and venue will be confirmed during the week. The Club would especially like to wish all the best to the seven Athleague players who are on the team; Nora Brennan, Lara Croghan, Niamh Farrell, Rachel Fitzmaurice, Laura Keenan, Katie Lavin and Maedhbh Tiernan.
Athleague Hurl with Me Programme
The club was chosen by the Camogie association to take part in a seven week programme which involves a training programme 7-10 year old girls in the club along with their parents. The training for the programme will begin on Saturday, 7th May. The girls and their parents will be notified via text regarding the time an venue.
Concussion, Health and Fitness Meeting
The club held a concussion, health and fitness meeting on Friday last in Athleague Community Centre. This was a very informative meeting. Adrian Daly gave a talk on concussion and spinal injuries which is an issue that is very topical at the moment. Sineád Gannon addressed health and fitness and how important it is to have a balanced diet while playing Camogie.
As a result of the meeting it is hoped that the club will run a first aid course in the coming months for parents and coaches.
