Work has begun on the construction of a new extension at Glanduff NS.
The extension, to the rear of the building, will consist of two Classrooms, Resource Rooms and Toilets. To facilitate the work the existing prefabricated building to the side of the School and and Concrete Veranda to the rear are set to be demolished and steel storage sheds will be relocated
The School currently caters for 120 children, 5 classroom teachers, 3 support teachers 3 SNAs and a Secretary and all will enjoy greater comfort as a result of the development. Principal Arthur Geraghty said “We are delighted that our new extension has begun. Our numbers have increased steadily and we now have five classroom teachers. The new extension will mean that all children are taught in bright spacious classrooms. We look forward to moving into our new extension in September. We are thankful to the Department of Education for supporting us in this.”
