Rehearsals are continuing for the Roscommon Youth Theatre’s production of ‘If I was at the GPO we would have won” which is written and directed by Catherine Simon.

It’s the story of Bridie Reardon (Molly Mew, pictured above with Tara Keane, who plays Lily O’Reilly) a young woman passionate for her country. She and a group of her “comrades” want to fight for Ireland as much as any man, but are told their place is at home. A new play written by Catherine Simon, this performance is also suitable for senior primary & secondary school students. Pre & post show in-school workshops are available, to book call 086 8747024.
The play takes place in the Roscommon Arts Centre on Thursday April 21st and Friday April 22nd at 11am and on Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd at 8pm. Tickets are available on-line and from the Box Office on 090 66 25 824. The Box Office Opening Hours are Tuesday – Friday from 10am – 5pm and Saturdays from 2pm – 5pm (on Performance Days only) and on Performance evenings from 7.15pm – 8.30pm.
