And in other sports news…

Rugby

Ahead of the Guinness PRO12 round 19 game away to Ulster on Friday night (7:35pm), the Connacht Rugby medical team provided the following update:
Nathan White suffered a concussion in the first half of Saturday’s game against Leinster. The tighthead prop will go through the normal RTP protocols. Outhalf AJ MacGinty sustained an AC joint (shoulder) injury and will be out of action for at least four weeks.

There was some positive news however as Second row Ultan Dillane, who missed out on the game against Leinster, has recovered well from his shoulder injury and is available for selection this week. Meanwhile, Jake Heenan continues to undergo treatment for his ankle ligament injury sustained in training last week. His progress will be monitored and a decision made on his availability ahead of Thursday’s team announcement.
