Athleague based media company Mimar Media and their film “50 Shades of Tae” are representing Ireland at the Jameson Empire Awards which have just got under way at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
“50 Shades of Tae” is contesting the Done in 60 Seconds Category, where film-makers were challenged to whittle down a movie plot into just 60 seconds. The clip, which was be viewed below, is a parody of “50 Shades of Grey” and features one man’s passion for tea making.
The video was produced by Husband and wife team Michael Hourigan and Martina Larkin and was selected as the Irish qualifier by an expert panel of judges including six time Oscar nominated director Jim Sheridan, actor Kevin Ryan and actor/author Eoin Macken.
They face competition in the category from films produced in Bulgaria, Poland and the UK.
The event is being hosted by David Walliams and the overall winner of the Done in 60 Seconds Award will receive an all-expenses paid trip to LA. There they will attend the prestigious Festival of Filmmaking, take part in workshops and attend an exclusive masterclasses with industry experts.
