Connacht have named 10 Roscommon GAA players in their squad for tomorrow’s GAA Interprovincial Football Semi-Final against Leinster in Parnell Park at 6pm.
Goalkeeper Darren O’ Malley, defenders Niall McInerney, John McManus, Sean Mullooly and Niall Daly, the versatile Fintan Cregg, Kevin Higgins and Enda Smith and forwards Ciaran Murtagh, Diarmuid Murtagh will all represent their province.
The Management team of John Tobin, Martin Carney and Ja Fallon have selected players from all five Connacht counties. The remaining squad members are:
Damien Comer, Danny Cummins, David Wynne, Gary O’Donnell, Johnny Heaney, Adrian Varley (Galway),
David Clarke, Jason Doherty, Conor O’Shea (Mayo),
Emlyn Mulligan and Donal Wrynn (Leitrim),
Kevin McDonnell and Niall Murphy(Sligo).
Ulster meet Munster in the second semi-final on Sunday at 2pm. The Final has been postponed due to a bereavement.
Roscommon GAA update
In related news Senior Football Team Manager Kevin McStay has confirmed that two-time All-Ireland Winning Goalkeeper Declan O’Keefe from Kerry will be the team’s Goalkeeping Coach for 2017. The team will begin collective training this weekend.
Roscommon will play challenge games against Meath and Kildare either side of Christmas.
