Michael Fitzmaurice TD is encouraging people out shopping for the Christmas period to make every effort to spend their money locally “as it will ensure that local jobs will stay local”.
Speaking a short time ago Michael Fitzmaurice said “On the weekend that the Christmas lights are switched on in Roscommon Town and in recognition of the huge efforts being made in towns and villages across the local region by local communities I am appealing to people to consider spending their money locally this Christmas period. There is just as much value to be had locally when one shops around and of course local jobs are depending on local revenue.”
“I wish all local businesses the best of luck over the Christmas period and congratulate local organisations who have made a special effort on a voluntary basis to make their local towns and villages look well for the holiday period” he concluded.
