Junior update: Clann na nGael 3-8 Kilbride 0-14
The Castle Inn Sponsored Junior B team (3rd Team) have qualified for the Junior B Championship Final after a hard fought 3 point win over Kilbride in Kilbride on Friday night last.

Played in near perfect conditions on a cold night and assisted with the wind in the first half this Clann team hit Kilbride for 2-03 without reply before Kilbride knew where they were.
Some fine long range deliveries into the full forwarded line yielded two goals for David Griffin who shook off his marker before blasting low and hard to the corner of the net. The accurate free taking of Darragh Glynn from placed balls also kept Kilbride on the back foot. Kilbride kept in touch with 3pts of their own to leave the half time score 2-6 to 0-3.

Clann started the second half in promising fashion with a converted free from Darragh Glynn edging them 10 points clear but the following 20 minutes would see Kilbride claw their way back into the game and with the presence of former county players Stephen Lohan, Gerry Lohan and Seamie O’Neill in their attacking ranks, Kilbride would continue to bombard the Clann half scoring 7 unanswered points before Clann were able to break out and be thankful for a superb solo goal from Sean Fallon who collected in the middle of the field before outrunning several Kilbride defenders and drilling to the corner of the net and thus lifting the siege on the Clann defence.

The final 10 minutes saw a nervy finish as Gerry Lohan continued to score from play and frees, however the platform for this success was laid in the manner of this teams performance in the first half and their never say die attitude when Kilbride found their groove in the second half. Some outstanding saves from Seamie McManus in goal kept Clann in the game (in both halves) along with fine outstanding performances in defence from Liam Og Naughton, Shane Gavin and Cormac Harney. Darragh Glynn and Sean Fallon had very assured displays in the middle of the park and up front David Griffin lead the way with a fine individual attacking display.

Clann will now have to wait to see who they will meet in this years final as they await the winners of Elphin and Roscommon Gaels.

Team and Scorers: Seamie McManus, Shane Gavin, Liam Og Naughton, Ray Fallon, Patrick O’Brien, Cormac Harney, Gearoid Lennon, Darragh Glynn (0-04), Sean Fallon (1-02), Darragh Lennon, Aaron Shine, Paul Dunning, Ian Cooney, Daniel Harney, David Griffin (2-02).

Feile update
A strong performance from Clann, saw our boys reach the final with a comprehensive victory over Strokestown on Sunday in Knockcroghery. This capped off a great weekend for the Feile squad after winning the shield at the Ballinamere/Durrow U.13 blitz last Friday evening.

The lads have trained for a long period and it is great to see them make the final, where they will face a much greater challenge against local rivals St. Brigids. Details of the time, date and venue to be confirmed.
