Work is progressing well on the re-alignment of two sections of the N61 Road between Boyle and Elphin as our pictures reveal.
The sections of the N61 Road in question are from Ratallen to Runnaboll and Treanagry to Knockroe.
Work was originally due to begin last November and to be completed by November 9th of this year however a delay at the contract signing stage meant enabling works only began in March of this year.
The sections of the Road were closed to the public since April 4th. Last month Roscommon County Council announced that the sections are to remain closed until December 12th. Aided by the recent spell of good weather the Contractors are working long hours. There remains a possibility the road may re-open before December 12th.
