Gardai have confirmed that a man in his 50s has died following a collision between a Motorbike and a Tractor on the N5 between Strokestown and Scramogue.
The incident occurred at approximately 8pm and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been named locally as Eamonn Mulleady, a native of Elphin and late of Bexhill, England. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.
