There was more bad news for Pat Lam and the Connacht Rugby squad ahead of Saturday’s Guinness PRO12 game away to Zebre when the extend of recent injuries were confirmed.

Danie Poolman sustained a concussion in the Ospreys game and will follow the Graduated Return to Play protocols. Summer signing Josh Rowland has undergone surgery for an ongoing ankle injury. He will be unavailable for 4-6 weeks. Nepia Fox-Matamua, who missed large parts of last season due to injury, sustained a hamstring injury against Glasgow. He will be out of action until November.
There was some positive news as Roscommon’s Denis Buckley. The Prop has returned to training with the squad after sustaining a against Glasgow.
Connacht take on Zebre at 5.05pm (Irish Time) and will be looking to pick up their first points of the season.
