Intermediates bow out
Our Adult Men’s team interest on the Intermediate Championship finished when they were heavily defeated by a stronger Eire Og team. Fielding a weakened side, St Barrys never got into the game and were beaten all over the field, losing out on a scoreline of 6-13 to 1-7.
While this afternoon was a bad one, it’s important that the lads regroup and refocus on the important final league games coming up, with promotion still very much on the cards. Two wins earlier in the group had already secured Intermediate Championship status for 2017.

Two Under 14 Teams in action
Last Thursday was a busy evening of underage action with both our Under 14 Girls and Boys teams in action. Unfortunately neither team could come up with a win on the night. The girls faced the Division 2 League winners Roscommon Gaels, and played really well throughout the game. The girls competed very well and were not intimidated by their much physically bigger opposition, nor their vociferous supporters, but struggled to get the scores that their play deserved. This was the last group game for the girls.
The boys travelled to Ballyleague for their Championship game against St Faithleach’s, but came out on the wrong side of a 5-08 to 4-09 scoreline.
