Our Intermediate mens team had a good against Eire Og in the Championship.The final score read 2-16 to 0-11. Their next game is against Tulsk in the championship on Saturday evening at 7.15pm in Castlerea.
The Under 14 boys team were defeated by Kilglass Gaels/St.Barrys on a scoreline of 5-13 to 2-06. The team’s next game is against Oran this Thursday evening at 7pm in Oran.
Our Under 12 recorded a good win against Oran on Saturday evening. Their next game is against Strokestown on Saturday evening next in Ballinlough (Time of game TBC).
Hard luck to the Intermediate Ladies team who were defeated by Padraig Pearses on Sunday morning last.
Well done to the U12 girls team who had a big win St Marys on Sunday evening last. They play Roscommon Gaels away next Sunday at 6 p.m.
David is the Michael Glaveys GAA Last Man Standing
The club recently ran a last man standing competition for the Allianz League which was organised by Intermediate player Sean Markham. The Competition was won by David Foley. 2nd Prize was won jointly by two players,both names were included in a draw and Shane Morley Toreen and Mayo Hurler was the name drawn and was the prize recipient.
Fundraising Walk
Well done to the Under 16 team and management for holding a 3k/5k Fundraising Walk at Lake o’Flynn this morning (Sunday). The Club would like to thank all that sponsored the walkers.
ABC Nursery Training
The Programme continues this week again for Gaelic Football Skills for Under 6 Boys & Girls (ages 4,5, & 6 year olds are welcome to attend ) takes place on Wednesday 10th of May from 6pm to 7pm in Michael Glaveys Community Complex. This is a wonderful Programme which introduces our young people to all sorts of football & agility skills. It is an extremely enjoyable event. It will be run on the following Wednesday evenings-10th,17th,24th May 6-7pm in the Club Complex.
After a short break, another 4 sessions will resume during the summer months.
